A good detective can find clues in the most unlikely places. Join an Opera to Go detective as he goes undercover to investigate a crime: the kidnapping of a young girl. Promptly the OTG detective is drafted into service by the girl's mother and compelled to join in the action of an opera! In due course, it becomes clear that the detective has stumbled into the Magic Flute, and his survival depends upon his wits and help from the audience. In the end, the mystery is solved, leaving both the audience and the detective with a greater understanding of the Magic Flute and opera in general.

This presentation of the Magic Flute utilizes volunteers from your school as supernumeraries and the entire audience as the opera chorus for four brief musical excerpts. Prior to the performance, the students will have the opportunity to witness an open rehearsal where Opera to Go prepares the volunteers and briefly teaches the opera choruses to the audience.
