A complete opera in its own right, Many Moons was composed by American Celius Dogherty after author James Thurber's Caldecott Medal-winning children's book. Using the musical setting of this modern day classic, Opera to Go teaches the audience about character music, ensembles, musical emotion, and weaves volunteers from the school into the fabric of this enchanting opera. As with The Opera Caper, an open rehearsal prior to the opera is used to prepare the audience for what they are about to see.
